Innkeepers/Owners John and Juliette Swenson come from a long history of hospitality starting in Bath, England. This is their second Bed and Breakfast. It was built in 1895. A gracious mansion in the Queen Anne style, it is an unusual cream brick Victorian with a 2-story turret and balcony. Unique characteristics: original gas light fixtures, 8 fireplaces all with different tiles and mantels, 3 unpainted. Every room has polished "heart pine" floors and lovely rugs. Bedrooms are very large. Herb garden, fish pond and fountain. Croquet lawn. Enjoy old movies on the VCR in the guest lounge.
Breakfast is served in our spacious dining room between 8am and 9am, or by arrangement. We serve a full breakfast on weekends including freshly made fruit breads, Sally Lunn bread and English scones. Juliette makes her own jams and jellies for a special homemade treat. Mid-week an "extended Continental" style breakfast is provided. Early-riser coffee available. Also, a small refrigerator is provided for guest use on the second floor.
Rates: $70-$110, including a full breakfast, tea or coffee on arrival, and sherry available. $10 off Mid-Week with Continental breakfast (except Holidays). VISA / Mastercard / Discover / Amex / Personal checks accepted. Two cats in residence.
Cancellation policy, if you need to cancel, please let us know 3 days ahead for a full refund. If it is less time than that, we will gladly give you a refund if we re-book your room. If a refund is not possible, upon request, we will send you a gift certificate to use at another time.
