Maison Du Pre', "The Inn of Historic Elegance" c. 1804, is in downtown historic Charleston, "This City by the Sea". Lucille's own french impressionistic style paintings are in all rooms of the Inn. The Inn's gracefully-weathered frame and brick buildings and sun-washed, flower-scented courtyards with three flowing fountains, all surrounded by tall garden walls and wrought-iron gates, welcome their guests to step back into early colonial times and relax.
All rooms have marble and tile baths, oriental rugs and antiques. An Executive suite, Honeymoon suite, Kitchen suite, and twelve guest rooms all create the feeling that at any moment Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara may come into view! Maison DuPre' is the perfect place to stay when visiting Charleston, "The Most European City in the United States."
