Camden Windward House, built in 1854 is a stunning example of Victorian architecture with Greek Revival features. Everything - including the polished hardwood floors, chair rails, and intricate moldings - has been completely restored to its original graciousness with more modern improvements recently added to enhance your Inn experience such as additional extra thick insulation and sound proofing along with double sets of windows to the front and sides to provide a remarkably quiet, comfortable environment within the Inn while still enjoying the highly desirable convenience of the close in-town location.
The eight beautifully decorated guest rooms and suites all reflect the warmth & charm of this gracious historic home, while providing a full complement of today's most desired amenities for your comfort and convenience. Every bed and breakfast guest room has a queen or king-size bed, private ensuite bath, individually controlled Air Conditioning, Color Cable tv, direct dial phone w/dataport and includes a hearty full menu breakfast. Most rooms also have a canopy bed, working gas log fireplace, vcr, large sitting room or sitting area and a bathtub as well as a shower in the bath. Our two premier rooms also have a private deck or balcony and a Jacuzzi whirlpool tub in the bath. Start your day with a hearty full menu breakfast served between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. each morning and then stroll to the Village center with its shops & restaurants or to Camden's picturesque harbor that are all only one block away. The Inn is also convenient to all mid coast destinations which makes it an ideal base for day trips throughout most of Maine.
