The 1890 Sea Captain's mansin reflects the Queen Anne Victorian style. The braided rope design of the front door, spindles of the main staircase, shiprail balistrade trim are symbolic of a Sea Captain's home.
The rooms are large with tall ceilings and windows and 14' oak doors. Beautifully preserved historic details are intact. Rooms with King/Queen beds, private baths, some whirlpool or antique tubs, fireplaces.
A Continental buffet breakfast is served in the parlor, the verandah overlooking the park or the pretty walled garden.
The Inn overlooks the largest park in the Savanah Historic District with historic fountain, jogging/walking paths, tennis courts and playgrounds. This is a walking city with museums, restaurants, riverfront plaza, pubs, tearooms, art galleries and antique shops. Nearby are historic forts, lighthouse, Atlantic beach and wildlife sanctuaries. This nine room Inn, plus garden cottage has been owned/operated for past 11 years by mother/son.
