Rockledge Country Inn is situated on 3.5 fenced and gated acres of stone terraces with panoramic views of Pikes Peak and surrounding foothills. The Arts & Crafts "mansion" was built in 1912 and was the summer retreat of oil magnate M. F. Yount.
Guest rooms are spacious and bright suites with king size featherbeds, entertainment centers, some with fireplace and spa, all with good views. The "cottage" , over the carriage house, features a queen size featherbed, jetted tub for two, big screen TV and kitchen.
Common areas include center entry hall with two story copper hooded fireplace, main living room with 1875 Steinway grand piano, solarium and patio for enjoying the outdoors.
A multi course breakfast is served; today it is fresh fruit "smoothie"; eggs Benedict and apple pie with sweet cream. Appetizers with Colorado wines or cocktails are offered each evening and chocolates, fresh fruit and very special cookies are always at hand. Mobil 3 and 4 star restaurants are a short walk away.
