Coronado Island’s Historic Hotel, Glorietta Bay Inn overlooks San Diego's scenic Glorietta Bay - one block from the Pacific ocean sits this Coronado Island landmark, combining old-world charm with contemporary comfort. Built in 1908 as the home of "Sugar Baron" John D. Spreckels, our hotel's sun warmed lobby, sitting porches and a music room, complete with a baby grand player piano, welcome you to a bygone era of hospitality and innkeeping.
The Mansion at Glorietta Bay is the centerpiece of the inn. This nearly 100 year-old home reflects the graciousness and hospitality of the time in which it was built, and its charm and elegance have been fully restored to its former splendor. High ceilings, generous windows, ornate moldings, original lighting fixtures and exquisite chandeliers form the base upon which period antiques, fine linens, comfortable furniture and a relaxing atmosphere have been added; all rooms have a private bath. Each guest room in the historic Spreckels mansion is unique and one-of-a-kind.
In the Inn buildings surrounding the Mansion, guests will find our contemporary rooms. All these guestrooms recently have been renovated and redecorated, offering high-quality, reasonably priced accommodations for couples, families and those traveling on business.
