St. Orres is a unique sanctuary nestled in the towering redwoods and pines on the cusp of Northern California's spectacular Sonoma-Mendocino Coast.
The inn and cottages, with their romantic Russian architectural accents, were designed and custom-crafted by Eric and Ted Black to coexist with and complement their natural surroundings. Beginning with just the inn and a couple of cottages 20 years ago, the Blacks and their partner Rosemary Campiformio, have now to offer 10 distinctly individual cottages, ranging from rustic to luxurious, scattered in a way that lends each a sense of privacy and serenity.
In the Restaurant at St. Orres, Chef Campiformio's nationally praised North Coast Cuisine celebrates the riches of the region with such delectable dishes as Goat Cheese and Smoked Wild Boar, Pheasant Breasts stuffed with leeks and pistachios, Baby Steelhead with Dungeness crab, and Loin of Venison in a sauce of Zinfandel and Wild Huckleberries.
