About the Changes at Vegas Hotels

By Victoria Harding

Bellagio - Las Vegas

The hotels that were once known for all-you-can-gorge buffets and skydiving Elvis's are now known as upscale hotels with a touch of class.

PARIS LAS VEGAS
You will never miss this upscale hotel because of the 540-foot replica of the Eiffel Tower that rises out of the casino. Other landmarks include the Arc de Triomphe and Le Boulevard shopping venue that looks just like the famous Rue de la Paix. Just like in France, Paris Las Vegas is very serious about food. On the 11th floor is The Eiffel Tower restaurant which offers a fantastic view of the strip. For a nice sidewalk cafe, the Mon Ami Gabi is the only outdoor dining experience in Las Vegas. Also for a light snack try the Lenotre tucked into Le Boulevard. This is a French style Grocery offering truffles, preserves, and candies.

THE RESORT AT SUMMERLIN
About 25 min away form the airport is this lovely resort away from the strip. This resort has two Regent International Hotels, a casino, and a pool with four 25-yard swimming lanes. Also if you love to golf, guests can play at the Canyons Course then indulge themselves in beauty treatments at the Aquae Sulis Spa. If you make reservations a head of time, request a room that has stunning views of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Also, the resort has a free shuttle service to the strip.

THE VENETIAN
This upscale hotel is a re-creation of Venice, Italy. The replicas are of the Doges' Palace, St. Mark's Square, The Campanile, the Rialto Bridge and The Grand Canal. Inside the hotel is are hand-painted ceiling murals, hand-carved columns with 14-karat gold leaf and marble floors.

THE BELLAGIO
Not only does this hotel have an amazing interior layout, but it also has outdoor fountains that dance and soar up to 240 feet every half and hour. This show lives in the eight-acre replica of Haly's Lake Como. Also the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art lets visitors view famous works suck as Gauguin's Bathers, Monet's Water-Lily Pond and much more. This is a popular site so get your tickets and go early in order to avoid the line that can often last up till two hours. And if it's shopping for a new updated outfit for the night, then shop Giorgio Armani boutique or arrange for a private wardrobe consultation in your hotel room.
