St. Martin is the only Island in the Caribbean shared by two European
countries. It is half French and half Dutch, but the division isn't
completely 50-50. The French side is 21 square miles and has a population of
35,000. The Dutch side is 16 square miles with a population around 30,000.
This division is a bonus because it allows you to experience two different
cultures on a Caribbean Island.
